REGISTRATION:

How much does it cost?

Titan MOB events range from $50 to $90 per person. It goes without saying that the earlier you register, the cheaper it is. Sign up as a Team with 5 or more participants and each team member will receive a $5 off!  Teams must register using the “Group Registration” category when registering in order to receive the $5 discount per registration.

Also, Like ‘Titan-MOB’ on Facebook and check the page frequently as discount codes and updates are posted to the Titan-MOB Facebook page.

What do I get with my entry fee?

In addition to bragging rights and an immense sense of self-pride, you’ll get a kick-ass Titan MOB race t-shirt (for finishers only at the finish line), a Finisher Medal, one beer ticket, post-race party with music, and mud to take home with you! Additional food and beer may be purchased.

How does the cash prize purse work for the Clash of the Titans competitive heat (mandatory 10K route)?

The cash purse will be distributed as a per category basis (Male/Female). A percentage of total Clash of the Titans registration fee per category will be placed in the purse.

  • 1st place = 50% of purse
  • 2nd place = 30% of purse
  • 3rd place = 20% of purse

A certificate of place/finish ranking will be awarded at the end of the event. Check or money order will be issued and mailed to the winners once all registrations have been totaled. (Not more than 30 days from the end of the event.)

Can I register by phone or mail?

Nope. All registrations must be done online.

Do you give refunds?

Sorry Charlie. No refunds of any form, under any circumstances.

During registration, do I have to denote whether I’m running the extreme 10K or the 5K Fast Pass route?

No, both routes start and finish in the same area. Midway through the course, you’ll see signs where the 10K route veers off and breaks away to cover the additional distance and obstacles. If you’re feeling strong midway through, we encourage you to go the extreme 10K route. However, if you’re not feeling it that day you have the option to take the 5K Fast Pass route. Regardless of the route, there will be lots of mud, lots of fun, and plenty of challenges! You’re Titan Tough no matter which path you take!

The only decision you need to make during registration is whether you are competing for cash prizes by signing up for the 9:00 a.m. competitive “Clash of the Titans” heat, or running in one of the Titan Fun heats starting at 9:30 a.m.

What is the age limit or requirement?

We love to see mud enthusiasts of all ages! The minimum age for our 5K and 10K routes is 16. For those participants under the age of 18 on race day, a parent or guardian must be present at packet pick-up to sign a release waiver. There is no maximum age limit.  New for 2017 is our kids race ages 10 to 15!  See further below for more information.

Do you offer registration deals?

Yes! Build and register a Team of five or more using the “Group Registration” category and receive $5 discount per person. We also offer a military discount and a 75+ year old discount. If you are 75+ years of age and want to participate, please email us at Info@titan-mob.com for a coupon code which will waive your entire registration fee!

Do you offer military discounts?

You bet! Just bring your military I.D. (or your DD Form 214) to the Information Tent on race day and we will gladly reimburse you a $5 bill. Please mark “military” on your online registration form when registering. Don’t forget to bring your military I.D. on race day, or you will not receive the discount.

How do I get a $5 discount for being on a Team of 5 or more?

A team captain must register the team using the “Group Registration” option when registering.  This registration function will give you a $5 discount on each person when registering.  You will have to be fairly quick when registering your team; the system will time out after ten minutes.

How do I create or join a team?

Team registration is easy. If you are the first individual on your team registering, you’ll need to create a Team Name and a password which will be a prompt during registration. From there, you can use your “Team Center” to send an email to your friends and family to join the team you have created. They will receive an email with a link to join your team.

What is the registration deadline?

While we encourage advance registration to save money, you can register at Packet Pick-up on the Friday before the race, or day of at the Information Tent.  Location of Packet Pick-up to be announced later.  Note we cannot guarantee a t-shirt, or your t-shirt size, if you register after August 11, 2017.  Only cash and check payment accepted on Friday and Saturday for registration.  Day of registration prices are $65 for the Titan Fun heats; and $90 for the 9am Competitive heat.

Is there a kids race?

YES!!!!  You betcha there is!  What kid doesn’t like to have fun and get dirty?!  The Kids race is $10.00 and they get a youth-size shirt!  It’s 1.5 to 2 miles of muddy fun and obstacles for our younger Titans.  Ages 10 to 15.

Do I have to sign a waiver to participate?

Yes. When arriving on event day, you must sign a waiver (before entering the event grounds) acknowledging that by participating you are exposing yourself to certain risks, including the risk of personal injury. It is your responsibility to read and understand the waiver before you sign it on Event day. A sample waiver is available here.

Is my registration transferable? Can I give my registration to someone else if for some reason I am not able to participate?

Unfortunately, no. The individual who signs up must be the same individual who participates. Titan MOB tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. No exceptions.

THE BIG DAY (EVENT DAY):

When and where do I pick up the packet?

The location of packet pick-up on Friday, August 25th is yet to be announced. One will be able to pick-up their packet onsite the day of the race, but we have limited volunteers for Saturday, hence why we encouraging packet pick-up on Friday. We suggest arriving at least two hours in advance of your race start time to allow for parking and getting your registration packet. Please have your signed waiver in hand before proceeding to the Packet Pick-up tent. Your packet will include a bib number, safety pins, one beer ticket, and timing chip.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

Yes, someone can pick up your packet on Friday, the 25th, on your behalf.

What do I need to bring with me to get my packet?

Your photo ID. You will be required to fill out a participant waiver form and you can sign the form onsite at the “Waiver” tent; but feel free to print it out in advance of the race and bring it with you. Click here for the waiver. And in case you forgot already……bring your photo ID!

We also suggest you bring a change of clothes and plastic bags to put your muddy clothes in afterwards. Bring cash for parking and food/beer purchases.

What should I wear?

Lightweight, fast-drying clothing; breathable fabrics are best. Avoid heavy, cotton clothing – cotton will retain mud and water. Running shoes – double-knotted! Cleats or spikes of any kind are not allowed. Gloves are optional – heavier gloves will help prevent rope burns and splinters, but they will also retain water and mud. Feel free to get crazy with a costume. Dress as a team, or dress as an individual. Just have fun with it!

Will the event be cancelled due to bad weather?

No way Jose. Mother Nature is just another obstacle for you to overcome! Therefore, the show will go on regardless of weather conditions. If the weather conditions are so bad that the course is potentially unsafe, then we will evaluate the situation and determine our course of action.

Where can I store my belongings?

There will be a drop-and-go storage tent for your items.  We encourage you to bring two cans of food for bag check as a donation to the local food pantry.

Are there water stations on the course?

Yes. There will be 2 to 3 water stations throughout the course. Feel free to wear a camelpack, but it will get muddy. Water and snacks will be available after crossing the finish line. Outside food and/or drinks are not permitted.

Where can I find medical help?

There will be paramedics and EMS personnel at the event. If you get injured, we will immediately radio them for help. We also have a medic station at our base area for participants to use after they cross the finish line.

Can I bring my pet?

No. Unless if by pet, you mean significant other. Otherwise, ALL pets must stay at home.

How about alcoholic beverages and fire arms?

Really? Alcohol and weapons don’t mix. Leave both of them at home. Also note our events are tobacco free.

Is there a time limit for the event?

No. You go at your own speed – whether fast or slow – just don’t give up! Remember to help those around you, because you too may need help getting out of a giant mud hole.

What if I’m not comfortable with the water obstacles; or other obstacles for that matter? Can I go around?

We discourage skipping obstacles without first attempting them – as a reminder, you signed up for this race to challenge yourself and it wouldn’t be fair to others who are attempting the obstacles. However, if there are obstacles you are not comfortable with, you can skip the obstacle and instead complete a penalty set before moving on. There will be water obstacles, but for the most part, you’ll be able to walk in the water. If the water obstacle requires swimming and you cannot swim, you must complete the penalty assigned to that obstacle before proceeding.

What is the penalty for not completing an obstacle?

Penalties will vary for each obstacle and will be marked as you approach the obstacle. Penalties will consist of either 20 push-ups, 20 burpee’s, 20 jump squats, 20 mountain climbers, or maybe something embarrassing like performing “I’m a Little Tea Pot”.

Will shower facilities be available?

Kind-of…..there will be an area set-up to hose yourself down…or get hosed down….

Where do we park?

We will send out parking details to participants in advance of the Event, so remember to check your email. There will be a $5 parking fee. Please have cash ready for parking. Car pooling is highly suggested. You should arrive 2 hours in advance to allow time for parking and packet pick-up.

Will there be professional photos taken?

Yes. Photos will be posted on our website after race day. Please be patient as it may take us a few days to post the photos.

Where do I turn in my timing chip?

There will be volunteers at the finish line to collect your timing chip. There is a $35 fee for not returning the chip.

Where do I see my results?

Although this obstacle course is about having fun, getting muddy, and making new friends along the way, we will track your results. Results will be posted on our website after the race. Please be patient as it may take us a few days to post the results.

SPECTATORS:

Is there an entry fee for spectators?

Nope!  We love and welcome ALL spectators!  So bring your friends, family and neighbors and have them cheer you on!  All ages of spectators are welcome.  Spectators do not need to register in advance, but they must sign a waiver before entering.

Do spectators have to sign a waiver?

Yep, all spectators must sign a waiver acknowledging they are exposing themselves to certain risks as a spectator. It is your responsibility to read and understand the waiver before you sign it on Event day. Click here for the waiver. Upon arrival, look for the “Waiver” tent to sign the waiver form. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. ID is required.

Will I be able to see the obstacles as a spectator?

Indeed you will! The course is designed so you can take pictures and cheer on your filthy friends, the muddy maniacs, and the people you think are totally crazy for doing this race in the first place! Be mindful of the barricades; they are there for a reason. Feel free to show your support by bringing signs and posters. Have fun!

As a spectator, what can I bring?

Camera equipment and bags/purses are allowed. There will be a security check point. Outside food, alcohol, pets and weapons are not allowed. We are a tobacco free event.

VOLUNTEERS:

What do I get for volunteering?

Register to volunteer and get free parking, free festival entry, one beer ticket, a pretty awesome Titan MOB volunteer t-shirt, and the joy and pleasure watching people fall in the mud.

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

You have to be 12-years old to volunteer and a legal guardian must sign your waiver.

As a volunteer, do I have to sign a waiver?

You betcha. All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver. It’s a legal thing. Click here for the waiver. Please go to the Volunteer Sign Up page for more detail.

Are there different shifts to volunteer?

There will be one volunteer shift starting at 7:30 AM and ending around 1 PM.  Please plan to be present the entire shift if you volunteer.

I have not heard from the Volunteer Coordinator yet. What do I do?

Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you, typically 3 to 4 weeks before the event, to answer any questions and reserve your volunteer spot. If our coordinator has not reached out, you can contact us directly at volunteer@titan-mob.com
